We would love to believe all detail shops provide a similar service and quality across the board. However, this blog is not about why we provide either a better service or better quality, but more so why we do what we do.
Our owner, Jonathon Greig, at a young age wanted to go John Carroll University for accounting his whole life and which he attended. He started his college career in accounting and joined a fraternity. One of the requirements of his fraternity was to do 6 to 8 hours of service a semester to maintain a good status in the chapter. What really happened is his life changed by seeing how much of an impact his voluntary service was to members of the nonprofit organizations and the families they helped.
But why does this matter? When John did his hours he either did Habitat for Humanity, Cleveland Food Bank, or feeding the homeless in Cleveland. While volunteering at Habitat for Humanity, he witnessed the unmeasurable joy that working towards a house that you can call yours and they tears shed across families that just helped in the process. Even more impactful was the food bank and understanding that there are hundreds of people who can't provide even a Thanksgiving meal for their family. Being family orientated and always trying to be thankful for the food he has to eat, knowing that others can not celebrate one of his favorite meals was emotional. One of the more emotional experiences he had was feeding the homeless. He was able to serve them food, sit down with them, and talk with them.
John decided he wants to continue to help others that are struggling or going through a rough patch in life. When John founded Greig's Premium Detailing, he decided that every year he will donate a percentage of the sales to a local charitable organization that will use the money to further their cause. The best slogan that he tries to follow with the business is set in the old Jesuit saying, "Men and Woman for others."
In the end, a detail through us is not just going to be about providing you the best quality products, service, or even customer appreciation, but also about providing support to a local charity every year.
